New Braunfels Boss Babes

Empowered Boss Babes is New Braunfels’ local source for empowering women in business through networking opportunities. The group focuses on supporting local businesses through events, assisting small business owners in finding new clientele and introducing members to local establishments that they may not visit otherwise. While they offer events in New Braunfels and surrounding communities, Empowered Boss Babes was initially known for its online Facebook networking group that offers monthly trainings and support for female entrepreneurs.

Business Among Moms (BAM)

As a leader among membership-based communities, Business Among Moms (BAM) is known for serving entrepreneurs that are also moms. Membership in the BAM tribe brings with it networking opportunities — they have more than 35,000 members — and the ability to find or offer employment, gain education and even spotlight your business. If you are a mom entrepreneur, it might be worth checking out BAM to help you skyrocket your business to the next level.

New Braunfels Jaycees

The New Braunfels Jaycees is a young professionals organization for aspiring leaders ages 18 to 40. The organization is known for preparing members to become business and community leaders, while helping them grow their network, engage in the community and increase their professional education. Members participate in various volunteer opportunities in an effort to create a better New Braunfels. Member efforts in 2019 alone allowed the group to donate $10,000 to organizations including Big Brothers Big Sisters, River City Advocacy, Surviving Life and more. If you are a local New Braunfels leader under 40, we highly recommend getting involved with the Jaycees.

New Braunfels Chamber

The New Braunfels Hispanic Business Alliance is a non-profit organization that works to promote, advocate and educate our Hispanic community with the goal of improving opportunities for success. It was formed in 2013 under the guidance of the New Braunfels Chamber. The Hispanic Business Alliance supports and encourages Hispanic participation in the New Braunfels business community.

The HBA hosts numerous networking opportunities and events throughout the year, including the Dia de los Muertos Festival from noon to 10 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 26 in Downtown New Braunfels. This year will be the fourth annual event, which is free to the community and celebrates the Hispanic culture with kids activities, food trucks, arts & crafts, vendors, live entertainment, an ofrenda (offering space — a great place to use your branded event display), shopping, contests and more. The HBA launched a Small Business Grants program this year through funds raised from the Dia de los Muertos Festival, providing additional funds to qualifying small businesses who have an immediate need or will use the funds for expansion.

Get Involved in Your Community

Involvement in the local community is good for any business, but especially for those that are locally owned and operated. By taking the opportunity to get involved, you show your customers that you care and — maybe more importantly — you get to hear what matters most to the people that support your business. The truth is, you can’t meet your customers’ needs if you don’t know what they are.

Community involvement can also come with perks for your business. When you embrace networking opportunities with other business owners, you might find someone with whom you can exchange ideas or partner with to increase business for both companies. Additionally, the more people you meet, the more chances you have to share about your business and increase your brand awareness.

Are you involved in your community? If not, we at SkyLine Canopies urge you to get started by grabbing your branded event display for the next event in your area. Check out our custom event tents, advertisement flags and much more. We look forward to serving you through our business and out in the community.
